2012 FINAL RESULTS

REGATTA DIRECTOR BIO
Regatta Director, Stephen Chilmaid, brings a wealth of rowing experience to the role having been involved with the sport of rowing for over 40 years in various capacities. A native of England , who has resided in Richmond since 2003,  he has competed for Great Britain at a number of World Championship regattas in the 1980’s in both rowing and sculling disciplines, and has competed in most major European  regatta’s including Henley Royal Regatta.  He is also a member of London Rowing Club and also a former board member.  Since being in the US he has qualified as a US Rowing Level 2 coach, and the initial stages of US Rowing Referee training, but is still drawn to the water mainly as a competitor.

"Growing up coxing and rowing in England on primarily  river courses is a good grounding for the skills needed to continue to develop Rocketts Landing Sprints Regatta into an annual premiere event, and with the help of VBC club members, supporters and sponsors we expect that the 2013 regatta will be bigger and better than ever."
We welcome you to historic Richmond and hope that your visit as either a competitor, supporter or event sponsor will be an eventful and enjoyable experience.
